Monika Jaffe, D.O. 
Medical Director, Investigator
Board Certified General Pediatrics

Dr. Jaffe is board certified in general pediatrics and joined Chicago Research Center in 2013. She devotes her time to clinical research and maintains experience as a Principal and Sub-Investigator on over 40 clinical trials with both pediatrics and adults. She has research experience in a variety of indications including depression, fibromyalgia, insomnia and diabetes.

Yuhwen Chow, M.D.
Investigator
American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Certification in Psychiatry

Dr. Chow is board certified in psychiatry and brings over 15 years of experience to CRC. Dr. Chow received her M.A. in Psychology from Purdue University and her M.D. from University of Illinois Medical School.  Fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Dr. Chow specializes in in adult general psychiatry, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, ADD/ADHD, and more.

Seanra Kalil, PA-C
Investigator
Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants

Ms. Kalil is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is currently licensed in the state of Illinois. She joined Chicago Research Center in 2016 and has served as an investigator on numerous clinical trials focusing on mood disorders, sleep and fibromyalgia. In addition to her work on clinical trials, she serves as adjunct faculty at Northwestern University’s PA program.

Stacy Malm, M.S., LCPC
President & Chief Executive Officer

Stacy co-founded CRC in 2005 and continues to serve as President and Chief Executive Officer. She brings over 20 years of clinical research experience to the company in her leadership role. She is well versed in both clinical trial management and operations. In her daily role as Director of Clinical Research, Stacy leads a team of physicians and allied health professionals in the conduction of complex clinical research protocols across diverse therapeutic areas. Over the course of her career, Stacy has managed over 200 research studies in sleep medicine, psychiatric disorders and general medicine. Prior to her reign in clinical research, Stacy served as lead certified mental health professional at Evanston Hospital after graduating summa cum laude from Bradley University.

Eric C. Malm, M.A., LCSW
Vice President & Chief Operations Officer

Eric Malm co-founded the Chicago Research Center in 2005 and continues to serve as the Vice President and Chief Operations Officer. As a biopharma industry veteran, Eric brings over 20 years’ experience in clinical development, operations and management. He supports a team of industry leaders in phases I through IV clinical trials across broad therapeutic indications. Mr. Malm oversees operational activities at the site, including study start up, enrollment of trials, site certification management and sleep lab operation and management. In addition to founding the Chicago Research Center, Eric is a licensed and practicing social worker in the State of Illinois. He has worked in both the outpatient and inpatient clinical settings after graduating cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts and finally a Master’s from Loyola University.

Ben Romanos, M.A
Clinical Research Manager & Psychometrician

A former case worker and mental health counselor, Mr. Romanos began working in clinical research in 2006 at the University of Chicago.  He joined CRC in 2013 and currently serves as Site Clinical Manager.  He has participated in over 60 trials as both coordinator and psychometrician. His experience includes research in mood disorders, sleep, general medicine and psychiatric disorders.
